When I was in England at the BFFI in November I got my hands on some new products to try from Deer creek company, one of these were the Supa suede. A thin nonflexible suede "tape" so to speak, I combined this with my own search for a caddis puppae pattern and came up with this one.

Hook: Partridge 15 BNX size 10
Thread: Sheer 14/0
Abdomen: Supa suede (markers along the edges)
Gills: Natural ostrich herls
"Legs": Whiting bird fur
Thorax: Brown ostrich winded forward
Thorax cover and wingbuds: Medallion sheet

I like that a lot Ulf.

Do you add much weight to it?

Thanks a lot guys! Yet to try it, but it looks like it might be able to catch something!

Jim, I have tied up some different versions, some unweighted and some with a layer of flat lead strip winded over most of the abdomen area.

Cheers
Ulf
