We had a few days of moderating temps here so I ventured out for a spell.

The little stream was still iced up somewhat but you still could find a spot or two to drift a fly.

BHPT's and an olive wolly worm were able to bring a few wild ones to hand.

Enjoy,

Nice pics. That last pic looks like a bigger trout. Thanks for sharing.

Nice pics, hopefully between a TU meeting bringing my son to a b-day party, various chores, play off football and splitting firewood I will get out on a pretty little stream and keep my streak of landing a fish every month of the year alive. Weather should be favorable for some outdoor activity. I will even try to get some pics up,

Thanks for taking me on your fishing trip. I needed that. -55 F in interior alaska right now. What i wouldn't give for alittle open water small stream right now ... ice fishing over drilled holes just doesn't cut it me. Although i wonder if i could fish my new tenkara rod with a grub over a burbot hole cut in a deep Tanana river bend... naw ... that will difinitely will break the rod. i don't recall seeing a skinnier tip on any rod.

Maui with the daughter and granddaughters is starting to look real good about now.

Minus 55, I'm chilled by just saying the number.

I agree with Maui.

Great pics, thanks for sharing.
Heading to the Smokies for some brookie action with a new bamboo Santa brought. Hoping to leave the frozen streams in Michigan behind for some nice small mountain stream action.

Thank you for posting.
Your pics have encouraged me to tie new flies for the coming season, which is less than 2 months away! :)
