I have been using comparadun hair to tie my haystacks. Last night I tied up a few BWO colored using comparadun hair died dun in color. This was the first time using this hair and I noticed a lot of dark, stiff hairs that didn't look as nice as the rest of the hairs. They kind of threw off the look of my flies. Won't affect their fish catching ability, but it bothers me. I tried picking them all out after stacking the clump of hair, but I missed some.

Has anyone else had a problem with the comparadun hair being inconsistent? The stuff I use is made by hareline.

hmmm...no I haven't.
for the best hair available look to blue ribbon flies in west yellowstone.

I use their sparkle dun hair in natural, dun and bleached w/ excellent results.

Thanks for the suggestion guys. I just got my order in from blue ribbon. Its top quality hair. Much nicer than the stuff I was using from hareline.
