Hello there Bill & seasons greetings from Abergavenny, "just over them hills"... Last time I was around the area was visiting llandarog on a family history jaunt for the other half... Her Grandad originally from the village & settling in Abergavenny, resiing very close to the famous fly tier Rev Powell (noted many a pattern for A Courtney Williams dictionary of trout flies)...

Good to see you on here
Matt

Wow... I once met a gentleman from Carmarthenshire... in Escondido, CA at the Center for Leadership Studies, some ten years ago or so. We actually even traded fly fishing magazines.

Small world.

Thanks all for the welcome, from New York to Abergavenny :)

Mostyn, Martin, palewatery thought you'd be lurking on here with Gareth and others :)

gstrand, did you remember the name of the person, a couple of characters spring to mind :D

Flea, I live less than a mile from Llandarrog. Did your Grandad ever fish the Gwaendraeth?

All the best.

Bill, I dont think her grandad was a fisherman, though I am sure he dabbled now and then, as many did and do & no doubts on their local stream...
