We were well into it at the time of this production. Many of the places in these videos, we skated together. The slalom scene, I made a web site (http://www.slalomskateboarder.com/phpBB/memberlist.php?sid=ab86d37544b8ac5fba7876182ce9eef 2) to get all those guys together http://www.slalomskateboarder.com and that is going to help get slalom skateboard racing into the olympics. The pipes, I skated right alongside of these guys and we were/are just as good at it, right in our back yard.
This is about the best series on skateboarding, where I come from, that I've seen on the internet.

Cool post. Boarding and surfing goes hand-in-hand. We use to do a lot of both when I was at school...I miss it...
yet another hobby i tried then figured out i suck at then gave up like snowborading and playing guitar
It is hard Sean, no doubt.
I am a pioneer snowboarder having learned from one of it's originators, Dimitri Milovitch of Winterstick in the 70's.
My son plays guitar and rips at it, good enough for me.
Good stuff! I can remember growing up in California along with all my cousins who helped the skateboard movement from the starting of the Dog Town Brethren to building skate parks from Southern California to Florida. The West coast was way ahead of the curve while the board game slowly went across the states ending up in Florida.
Funny, guys like Tony Hawk and several no namers like Smitty who built boards both for water and the tar were like heros for the kids to look up to and pattern their styles from.
I remember my first 33 inch Bahne slalom board and have a board as we speak now :geek:
Back in the day, I remember yelling at Tony Hawk at Del Mar for snaking me in the pool, what a little dickhead.
He who laughs last...
Chef, the book is out and I'm in it. When we meet next, I'll share it with you.
I am honored that you are here, you are truly a teacher to me and I thank you for your kindness.
I am a better fisher-man because of you.
We'll have to hit the disc tracks too - I'm actually looking forward to that...
I friended TH on FB and it brought back memories...Ted Nugent and Cat Scratch Fever :ugeek:
Yup, we are about the same age and same music back then.
Cool.
We can disc it anytime you want, weekends are the best, I'll give you the heads up when we are going and I'll try some courses in your area.

I'm diggin' the EvO
What it is used for, in the diagram looks correct.
Put some of these wheels on it: http://www.abec11.com/abec11-wheels.php

I had a ranking in the IGSA a few years ago.
Scott did races at WLAC (West Los Angeles College) and I ran tight slalom there.
...ahh, is eight a few?
It was a blast racing, I love it.
I think the last image is what they call "buttboarding" a type of luge. Luge sleds are longer, have a nose, pretty much the same technique though.
I'm surprised you would pick out such a board, not that you can't ride it but it's a good choice, a really good choice, like you did your homework.
Nice one.

Another race car driver turned me on to it - His name is Andy Lally and is a pro racer on the board and car. Here's my beater. Need to get Bones Swiss on it. The long board peeked my interest since I used to also ride a Bahne 33" slalom board the day it came out way back in Cali. Need to drop like 50lbs
