Suhhhhhhhhweeeeeeet !!!!! Your reversed midge patterns especially came out great in Takahashi's book !!!!! Really curious about some of the Professor Prof J.R. Harris patterns as your tying submission in Takahashi's book is the first time I have heard of Harris !!!!
Thanks, John
J R Harris - An Angler's Entomology
1952 reprinted 1956 & 1966
Do not get the 1990 black and white cheapo reprint...
Harris was a keen angler, an MA in Limnology, Zoology at
Trinity College Dublin, Ireland.
The book is excellent and contains some excellent description of ecloding nymphs and such like, has sections on Ephemeroptera, Diptera, Plecoptera and Tricoptera
Harris was an excellent observer and writer, besides being a most highly qualified zoologist; an excellent book.
This work is a staple for anglers in the UK, most of whom have never heard of it.
Section in fly recipes is very useful.
