Here's a few pic's of the last small stream outing of the season. I guess I'll have to start chasing steel if we ever get some fish to the upper.

gotta love it. Although I would never ask where your stream is located can you tell me what state it's in?

I just spent my birthday weekend on my favorite forest stream, casting flies to wild browns in a soft rain. It doesn't get any better than that!

Mag, that stream is in the state of Jefferson, Southern Oregon. Browns are uncommon on the west slope. I'd love to hit some small water for browns.

I'm going to hold you to post lots of pics and words about home. It's been five years this past weekend, I got really melancholy for a while. Good thing is I'll be in Gold Beach for Thanksgiving and to do my in-laws' renewal of their vows on their 50th. Bad thing is I'll likely not fish... unless I can talk my Father in law in to taking me out in to the forebay and driving in circles...

Yeah, I'd miss The Jefferson State if I had to leave her. There is always a bright side tho.. I'd be willing to bet the unemployment rate is lower in Tejas :D . The Steelhead and Salmon runs still seem to be in trouble. Hopefully we will see an improvement in the cycle with the removal of many of the impoundments. I will do my best to post a little home slice for ya whenever I can.

Cheers,
J
