I am an entry level seamstress at best. fortunately that's good enough to sew a rod sock (I almost typed sack heh).
also enables me to sew a tag on a shirt. actually adam gave it to me a while back. no point having it if you don't use it. that's a fishing shirt.

I've still got a pair of original issue, as in original from the transition from olive drab to bdus, pants. they're a little worse for the wear, buttons are missing waist strap is broken, cargo pocket ripped and knees kinda blown, but they are still serviceable and I wore them working construction for a few years. that's what caused most of the wear and tear. you inspired me to dig them out and try them on and they still fit! forty-nine years old and I can still wear the pants I wore when I was soldiering at twenty-three. wish I had one of my old bdu tops, but I do have one of my brother's. he got out a couple years after I did and it's got those cool airborne and screaming eagle patches on it.

mostly though now I think camo is ridiculous unless yer hunting or fishing. typing all this has made me a little nostalgic for those good old daze in the service of our country. I enjoyed the hell out of it though I'd deny it at the time. maybe that's my introduction.

The boys and I do airsoft. I always lose. We wear safety glasses but getting shot, even at 50' by 350fpm and it makes a bruise/welt.

We go in the forest and use the bio pellets.

Anyway.

I gave you the ss name tape just a week or so ago.

I've had them for many years, you have one of the last ones.

Nice to see that you actually used it.

it is very cool that you have those pics from that time. I have none.

it is a very easy tap tap scenario and yer done. that was some of my training.

I really wish I had some pics of that time in my life.

I didn't even get a camera until I was almost 40.

and damn I look bad.

Agreed.

In High School, I majored in Drama and Photography, imagine that.

A camera is part of my kit and I've taken it with me on the lows to as high as I could get.
