Hey young man :) I'm going to be 62 in Jan. I don't see well enough to fish flies that small.
I sure as hell can't see well enough to tie one

Neat Tidy and SMALL, what more an one ask for? Hmmm Let me see. Yes thats it. "LET ME SEE" and I think I could have another go at tying a #32 or two.

Small flies are great fun and sure crank up your stay with it ability and the rewards are very nice on a personal level.

Thanks for posting AndyBaird. Jax

Hey Will :) I'm very lucky to still have 20:20 vision as I approach 40 next year... :| So I'll keep tying small as long as the eyes are working...

Hey Jax... catching a 9" wild brown on the #32 below was the absolute highlight of last season, this is how I get my kicks... :ugeek: Good to hear from you ;)

I know what you mean AndyBaird there is a certain feeling of personal Triumph and achievement when you land a trout on a #32. My moment came when a feisty little 6inch Rainbow accepted my Jax Roughy #32.

I had a lot of trouble getting the materials Small enough for the hook size. The tying thread was also a real bind untill Roy sent me some thread from his bench. That did the trick. Can't for the life of me remember the Name of the thread [Bennichi] something like that.[Must be Halftimers] But boy it made a difference. Still have some but the labels have come off the reel.

Any how I will be attempting to tie a Wulff Royal Coachman soon and hope to be able to post a pic or two. Fly Tying Rules!! Jax

Jax,

I've used the same thread on some of my flies.

It can be purchased from this company, I've ordered from them before.

I've been using 12/0 on nearly everything I tie that isn't a streamer.

Hey Mikey; Unfortunately 12/0 is like Hens Teeth down here.

One Outlet is thinking of bringing some in.

Nice to see you are still out there having fun. Jax
