These shots where taken a few months back, the water was clear & the trout spooked but the slightest movement, places in this stream where hard to get in & out off, the smallest mistake, on these tough streams, could lead to a lot of pain & trouble, as i found out this year to my cost.
But like most of us here, the rewards, are well worth the effort, & the risks we take, for that bar of gold at the end. If it was easy, it wouldn,t be worth while doing.
These are places that i feel alive, when casting over a spookey brown, be it a 4 inch fish, or a 14 inch fish, or hauling ass, in & out of the pools.
The title, MMMMMMMMMMmm TOUGH FISH, TOUGH STREAM & TOUGH MEN,,,, AAAAaaaaaaa, We all have our own Madness,

Wow, I would love honing my knife on that stream. It would be lovely to go through the design process, ultimately coming out with a beautiful bamboo rod to fish this one. I love the look and feel of it, sort of a ditch. Not much cover, slik and tough as you say, but a great challenge.

After going through, a lot of reels in the last few years, i still always come back to the ATH, super smooth, fine clicker, just purrrr,,sssssss as line is pulled off, be it several inches, or a foot or so, this smoothness, pays off, on a small stream, & the extra weight, adds to balance bamboo.

I Surpose i would class it as a, Enjoyable little reel.

well your title caught my eye, I live in the middle of the colorado rockies, as you can figuer that we get alot of snow . . well I must tell this story. About 7 tears ago my fishin' buddy brougt a new guy uot with us for some winter fish'n, this guy was doing ok till he tryed t step up on a blouder and lost his traction and slipped face first into the rock. OUCH!!! he knocked out 6 of his teeth a fainted a slpit second after the smash, me and my bro rushed over as fast as possible, by the time we got to his he had alreay inhailed some water and was drowning. This put us in a really wierd situation to say the least. Blood was pouring out of his mouth & he was die'n I don't really like the thought of doing CPR on a dude any way, nor thought of gettig the HIV from some one elses blood in my mouth--WHOA---- either way I used my shirt as a sponge/barier and did what had to be done for a strager to me. the dumb ass made it... Tough waters, tough desisions, Tough men
